About Isabel
Warranted counsellor, Clinic Lead, and co-founder of Vita Mea
Isabel Camilleri has been practising as a counsellor in Malta since 2009. She works with adults, couples and families who want to understand what is happening between them — and inside themselves — without being rushed or judged.
She holds a Master's in Counselling from the University of Malta. Her research looked at what actually helps in therapy with distressed couples: not a single technique, but the quality of the relationship, the therapist's presence, and a couple's willingness to try something different together.
- Warranted counsellor and member of the Malta Association for the Counselling Profession.
- Special interest in couples, blended families, anxiety, grief and corporate wellbeing.
- Sees clients in person at Vita Mea Clinic in Mosta, the practice she co-founded.
How sessions feel
Isabel's approach is integrative and relational. Sessions are not a script. They are a confidential conversation that helps you notice patterns, name what hurts, and find a pace of change that can last.
That might mean sitting with a couple who keep circling the same fight. It might mean helping a family make room for a new step-parent, or walking with someone through anxiety or bereavement. The work is tailored — not one-size-fits-all.

How Isabel can help
Counselling for the relationships and seasons that ask more of you than you can carry alone.
Individual counselling
One-to-one work for anxiety, grief, life transitions and the quiet sense that you are not quite yourself. A space to think out loud and find a way forward that belongs to you.
Individual therapy at Vita MeaCouples and relationship therapy
For partners who keep missing each other — in conflict, in silence, or after trust has been shaken. Isabel has studied and practised this work for years, including her Master's research on distressed relationships.
Couples therapy in MaltaFamily and blended-family work
When a household is rearranging itself — new partners, co-parenting, teenagers pulling away — family counselling helps everyone be heard without turning the room into a courtroom.
Family support at the clinicCorporate wellbeing
Isabel also works with organisations that want more than a one-off talk. Workplace stress, burnout and leadership strain show up in real lives — and they deserve the same care as any other counselling brief.
Ask Vita Mea about workplace supportAn integrative, relational approach
Isabel does not ask you to fit a model. She draws on integrative counselling and relational therapy so the work can follow what you actually need — insight, practical tools, or simply a place where you do not have to hold it together.
Confidential
Sessions are private and guided by professional ethics and data-protection standards.
Unhurried
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. Couples and family sessions usually run longer.

Frequently asked questions
Practical answers before you book counselling in Malta.
Where does Isabel see clients?
In person at Vita Mea Clinic on Triq Sir Temi Zammit, Żokrija, Mosta. Online sessions can be arranged when attending the clinic is genuinely difficult.
How do I book a first session?
Send an enquiry through the Vita Mea contact form or call +356 9985 4942. Mention that you would like to work with Isabel Camilleri. The clinic aims to reply within two working days.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can contact the clinic directly. A GP letter is welcome if you already have one, but it is never required to start counselling.
What does a first session involve?
It is a getting-to-know-you meeting. Isabel will ask what brings you in, a little of the background, and what you hope might change. You do not have to share more than you are ready for — and it is also your chance to see whether the fit feels right.
How much does counselling cost?
Fees depend on the type of session — individual, couples, family or organisational work. Vita Mea Clinic confirms the fee with you before you book, so there are no surprises.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. What you share stays in the room, except in rare situations where there is a serious risk of harm. Those limits are explained clearly at the start.

Ready when you are
Taking the first step can feel awkward. You do not need the perfect words. A few sentences about what you are looking for is enough — and there is no commitment in asking.
Isabel sees clients at Vita Mea Clinic by appointment, Monday to Saturday. If she is not the right practitioner, the clinic will help you find someone who is.
